Groups are one of the most powerful parts of TravelJoy. They automate the complexity so that you can focus on delivering a personalized experience to every traveler.

Caitlin from the Joymaker team has recorded a full, end-to-end walkthrough of creating group bookings, including:

  • Setting up a group booking page
  • How clients book themselves into a group
  • Using the group status tab
  • Creating and sharing group itineraries

In the video, Caitlin takes you through all of the basic steps needed to get a group running quickly:

Creating a group

A trip is for individuals or small groups traveling together, such as solo travelers, couples, or small families. They typically share the same room or cabin in the same destination.

A group is a tool for organizing multiple trips headed to the same destination. Common use cases include cruises, weddings, or family reunions.

Creating a group booking page

A group booking page simplifies the booking process by allowing clients to book their trip, complete forms, and pay deposits online—all without manual intervention.

Group booking pages: Description tab

This is your chance to make a great first impression:

  • Add details about the trip, including photos and videos.
  • Highlight what’s included, what’s not, and your cancellation policy.

Group booking pages: Pricing tab

Set up your packages, including room or cabin options, pricing tiers, and any additional add-ons like excursions or activities. Use the quantity limit feature to manage inventory.

Group booking pages: Traveler info tab

Include forms for primary and additional travelers. These forms can collect vital information like dietary preferences, passport details, or emergency contacts. You can also attach task lists for streamlined trip management.

Trips within groups

After travelers begin booking, they get added as trips within the overall group.

The group status tab

The group status tab provides a centralized view to:

  • Monitor bookings and payments.
  • Edit or update trips, such as assigning roommates.
  • Add travelers manually if they didn’t book through the group booking page

Creating a group itinerary

With TravelJoy, you can create an itinerary for the entire group, ensuring consistent information for all travelers. (More info on those here!)

Making group travel planning a breeze

Groups and group booking pages simplify complex travel logistics. They reduce manual steps, streamline communication, and ensure every traveler gets the details they need. Whether organizing a family reunion or a corporate retreat, TravelJoy’s tools empower you to manage it all effortlessly.
